Strava Club · Artà · Mallorca
A club for getting around Artà on foot, running, by bike, on horseback or by motorbike — and ending every outing with food from the land. Two summits, two food trucks and a whole region to explore.
01
Each has its own pace and paths. They all end in the same place: at the table.
Farm tracks and Natural Park trails: from town to the hermitage, from Sa Duaia to the unspoilt coves of Cala Torta and Cala Mesquida.
Warm up on the Sant Salvador steps, then tracks between wild olives, carob trees and dry-stone walls.
The classic climb to Ermita de Betlem over the Coll des Pescadors, and the Cala Torta road up to the Sa Duaia viewpoint.
Along the wide tracks of the hills and farms, as people in the Llevant always have. At a walk, no rush.
The bends to Betlem and Cala Torta are a joy. Tarmac only, and easy does it: cyclists, walkers and livestock share the road.

Open to every discipline: what counts is getting up there.
Free on Strava: Els Pics d'Artà.
On foot, running, by bike, horse or motorbike.
At the food truck: free coffee with your order.
Lunch for two among members who climbed that week.
One Sunday a month, 09.30, from Plaça de l'Ajuntament: climb to Sa Duaia and coffee at the food truck. Dates are posted as club events on Strava.
05
Both food trucks are run by Sa Bàscula, the kitchen of the Cooperativa d'Artà. Closed in bad weather or strong wind.

06
Every climb crosses centuries. Knowing it makes the legs feel lighter.
Right outside town, one of Mallorca's best-preserved Talayotic villages. The first people to live here already grazed this land.
On 29 July 1805 a group of hermits settled in the Betlem valley, on the old Binialgorfa estate. They lived there for more than two centuries among vegetable plots, olive trees and silence.
The sanctuary crowns Artà inside its walls. The staircase up to it is now the club's steepest segment.
Protected hills, garrigue and unspoilt coves. Sa Duaia is a public estate inside the Park, still farmed and grazed.
An open club from the Cooperativa d'Artà, bringing together sport, farming and local food.
07
Every trail we climb crosses working farms: cattle grazing the garrigue and keeping the firebreaks open, bees among the olive groves, dry-stone walls rebuilt by hand. On the way down, the reward comes from the land: local produce from the Cooperativa d'Artà, served at the food trucks or at Sa Bàscula.

08
Close gates you find closed and take your rubbish home.
Animals first: stop, let them pass, don't startle them.
Stay on the paths: keep off crops and walls.
Call out when overtaking; take it easy on the Betlem descents.
Wide tracks only; give way and pick up after.
Tarmac roads only, gently and quietly.
Say hello to the farmer.
